MORGAN & KEVIN

Surprise wedding in San Francisco

This couple was originally supposed to get married in early 2021 but with the pandemic still looming they decided to postpone to a Thursday wedding in 2022.

Their venue was already mostly booked for 2022 by the time they made their decision and ultimately decided not to do the full wedding weekend getaway at Holman ranch and opt for a single day mid-week celebration instead.

K proposed to M in Paris at the Eiffel tower and since the venue has some beautiful rustic European country flair to it they decided they wanted their wedding to feel very French rustic country. Their design focused around creating that relaxed European elegance in the heart of Carmel.

Since almost all their guests were flying into California for their destination wedding they decided to host a large rehearsal dinner followed by a cocktail hour style welcome party in Monterey.

Their wedding day at Holman ranch was a typical beautiful, warm sunny Carmel valley summer day. Full of warm sunshine and light breeze. While They had a large wedding party of 8 on each side they opted to have their wedding party sit with guests instead of standing with them at the ceremony.

Their reception in the rose patio consisted of beautiful long wooden tables with soft silk runners and beautiful, classic, soft blooms. A perfect mix of rustic and classic for a timeless California vineyard wedding. Their family style meal focused on farm to table cuisine and fresh locally grown produce from Carmel valley.

The couple really wanted a fun and lively party which is why they had a DJ/live band combo through Golden bells music. They also incorporated pour girl bartending, with their vintage horse trailer bar it fits the rustic ranch vibes of Holman ranch perfectly plus they make the most beautiful and tasty cocktail. Additionally they brought a little bit of 70s glam to the rustic space by hanging disco balls in the barn for the dancing. They had the best night dancing the night away!
