The minute I started talking to Lauren I knew we were a great fit, we instantly had a blast talking about what a silly place Los Angeles is at times. Lauren and Russell met in college despite having gone to different colleges, their mutual friends introduced them and they were meant to be regardless of school rivalry and distance.
Lauren and Russell’s wedding day was the perfect Carmel Valley Day. They chose the beautiful Holman Ranch for their wedding weekend and the historic Carmel Mission for their ceremony. Lauren had grown up visiting Carmel regularly, as her grandfather lives in the area. Russell also grew up in the Bay area so that location was a natural fit.
Throughout the planning process Russell and Lauren always kept a fun, upbeat and positive attitude. Their laid back and inviting demeanor perfectly translated into their wedding day where everyone felt relaxed and at ease. They had their beautiful Catholic ceremony at the Carmel Mission before heading back to Holman Ranch for the reception.
I also had the pleasure of helping Russell’s sweet mom, Stacey, plan the rehearsal dinner at Holman Ranch. One of my absolute favorite parts of the weekend was a super cute movie that Russell’s mother made. It was a video of each of their paths growing up from infant to bright, successful, thriving adult and the blossoming of their beautiful relationship. The pictures of the two of them as babies and young kids were so cute and mildly embarrassing at the same time, it was a lot of laughs had by all!
