This beautiful wedding took place at The Intercontinental The Clement Monterey right in the heart of Cannery Row on the Monterey Bay. The couple’s guest count grew significantly while planning and out grew the venue’s ballroom capacity so we had to get creative or decide to walk from the venue and start over. One of the possibilities was to use the large outdoor courtyard that sits right above the ocean for the dinner. This ended up being the perfect option because their wedding day was structured in a way that we could use the courtyard for both the morning ceremony and then the evening reception. The Weekend was filled with festivities for the guests starting with a Bride’s luncheon and Sangeet. The wedding was in the morning with a lively and hilarious Baraat (groom’s processional) on Cannery Row. Once the traditional Indian ceremony was done all guests were invited to a casual traditional vegetarian lunch in the ballroom. We began to flip the courtyard space while the couple took photos, rested and then the bride got hair and makeup look number two and outfit number three for the day! Dinner on the courtyard over the ocean was better than we ever could have expected and was absolutely beautiful. The evening was topped off with a fun party inside the ballroom with a lounge, tons of dessert options and lively dancing.
