The Tehama Golf Club offers a beautiful setting with some of the best views the area has to offer. The unique location makes it extremely accessible from both Monterey and Carmel and gives you everything from ocean views to valley hills to golf course golden sunlight. Pretty much everything that is great about the Monterey Peninsula is all wrapped into one location!

Location, Location, Location
One of the things guests love most about TGC is the location.
- It’s super convenient.
- The atmosphere is amazing.
- The views are stunning.
Because the venue is nestled between the Carmel Valley and Monterey Peninsula, you’re only 15 minutes from downtown Monterey and 20 minutes from downtown Carmel. This comes in handy if you have guests with a range of tastes – where some prefer budget accommodation and others would like luxury.
As for the atmosphere, Tehama is actually a Native American word that means “abundance of nature.” And the area doesn’t disappoint. The location has a rugged elegance and plenty of space to create whatever event you’re dreaming of.
The panoramic views don’t hurt either. Look out onto the Carmel Valley and Monterey Bay during your ceremony and cocktail hour. And dine alfresco during your reception. Beautiful wraparound terraces also provide views of both mountain vistas and sparkling cityscapes.

Stunning Spanish-Style Architecture
The architecture at Tehama is absolutely lovely. It’s Spanish-inspired with a lot of cool rustic elements like Monterey shale, sandstone pillars, and native gardens.
My personal favorite spot at the venue is the courtyard. It is a beautiful Spanish-style courtyard with lush gardens, huge wooden doors, and a fountain.
It’s an idyllic space where your guests can arrive and be greeted with a glass of champagne before they make their way to the ceremony deck. From here, they’ll have expansive views of the Monterey Bay and Pacific Ocean.
Artful Accommodation
Whether you’re dreaming of an indoor wedding, an outdoor celebration or a mix of the two, Tehama Golf Club has something to offer every couple.
The Clubhouse sits high above the Monterey Bay and provides guests with a formal entrance to the courtyard. It’s also surrounded by large open patios with beautiful views. The ballroom area within the Clubhouse is constructed of shale stone and features expansive windows and fireplaces. And whatever color palette you have in mind will work just fine because everything within the ballroom is neutral by design.
Tehama also has four on-site suites that are a bargain for the area. They are spacious, well-appointed, and the perfect getting-ready spot for your wedding party.
It’s also worth noting that Tehama Golf Club is owned by Clint Eastwood, so many guests love walking around the Clubhouse and seeing the little touches related to the iconic actor.
